How This Is Calculated

Savings are estimated as a percentage of your current heating bill based on typical UK performance data from the Energy Saving Trust. LED lighting saves ~£40–75/year for an average home. Loft insulation saves £150–300/year in most semi-detached houses. A new condensing boiler saves £200–400/year by operating at 90%+ efficiency vs older models at 70–80%.

The ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation) scheme funds insulation and heating improvements for households on qualifying benefits — completely free. The Great British Insulation Scheme offers subsidies for cavity and loft insulation regardless of income. Check gov.uk/energy-efficiency and contact your energy supplier for eligibility. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme provides £7,500 off heat pump installation.
